Danish ingredient company honoured for innovation and growth
The Danish ingredient producer FERM FOOD ApS from Bække in Vejen has just won the regional EY Entrepreneur Of The Year award in the Scale-Up category. The prize was presented at EY’s ceremony in Southern Jutland on Thursday, November 6, marking a significant milestone for the company, which supplies fermented ingredients to the food industry.
Food manufacturers use FERM FOOD’s fermented ingredients to extend shelf life, replace additives and preservatives – and thereby develop healthier and more natural foods. The company has experienced significant growth and is now among the nominees for the national final in EY’s prestigious growth competition.
“We are proud to receive EY’s Scale-Up Award in Southern Jutland. It is a recognition of our mission to help food producers develop products that are healthier and free from unnecessary additives. This is a big day for the entire team and for the food industry,” says Jens Legarth, CEO and founder of FERM FOOD ApS.
EY’s Scale-Up category celebrates companies that have demonstrated remarkable growth and have the potential to become future business successes. With its patented fermentation technology and intense focus on health and sustainability, FERM FOOD has established itself as one of Denmark’s most promising new ingredient companies.
